Lepidiolamprologus brichardi
Origin: Africa (Lake Tanganyika)
Lepidiolamprologus brichardi (Brichard's Lamprologus) is a predatory and territorial cichlid from the rocky shores of Lake Tanganyika. It features a streamlined silver body with subtle blue iridescence and pointed finnage. A fascinating species to observe as it aggressively defends its chosen territory. Best kept as a mated pair or in a species tank due to its aggressive nature toward smaller fish.
Requires hard, alkaline Tanganyikan water. Provide a rocky setup with caves and crevices for territory establishment. Keep as a breeding pair — will aggressively defend their territory. Feed meaty foods: pellets, frozen shrimp, fish fillets, earthworms. Avoid housing with small or timid fish.
