The Brown Discus is one of the oldest cultivated discus strains, featuring warm chestnut to amber tones with subtle patterning reminiscent of the wild Symphysodon ancestors. Often kept by experienced hobbyists who appreciate its natural, understated elegance. A hardy and robust representative of the base discus palette with a timeless appeal.
Care Guide
Keep at 28–31°C in soft, slightly acidic water with regular water changes. Feed discus granules, beef heart mix, frozen bloodworms. Keep in groups of 5+ in 200L+ tanks. While hardier than many show strains, still sensitive to deteriorating water quality and cold drafts. RO or very soft tap water recommended.
