Cirrhilabrus brunneus
Origin: Indonesia, Bali
Cirrhilabrus brunneus is an Indonesian fairy wrasse where terminal males develop rich brown dorsal hues contrasted by vivid blue and orange ventral colouration. One of the more regularly available fairy wrasses from Bali and a good introduction to the genus. Provide swimming space and a secure lid.
Keep one male per system or in a harem with multiple females. Feed mysis, copepods, and marine flake 2–3 times daily. Reef-safe; harmless toward corals. Provide a tightly fitted lid — active swimmer and jumper. Introduce before more aggressive species. A reliable, attractive species for beginner-to-intermediate reef aquarists.
