Meiacanthus oualanensis
Origin: Pacific Ocean
The Bundoon Blenny is an Indo-Pacific fang blenny with a pale yellow-cream body and a dark longitudinal stripe. Unlike many blennies it freely swims in the midwater column, feeding on zooplankton and small invertebrates. Its venomous fangs are purely defensive. An active hardy species and a colourful interesting addition to reef community tanks.
Provide live rock for shelter but expect to see it actively swimming in midwater. Feed mysis, copepods, and fine marine foods 2–3 times daily. Peaceful toward all reef inhabitants — venomous fangs are last-resort defence only. Reef-safe. Compatible with almost all reef fish. Keep only one per tank to reduce competition for territory.
