Origin: South America
Caquetaia spectabilis is a large predatory cichlid from the Amazon basin with a highly compressed body profile and bold, contrasting black-and-cream patterning. Feeding: Carnivore; large prawns, live or dead fish, quality large cichlid pellets. Behaviour: Aggressive and predatory; territorial with conspecifics and smaller fish. Compatibility: Species-only or with very large robust fish; not suitable for community tanks.
