Caribbean Basslet (Candy Basslet)

Liopropoma carmabi is one of the most prized small reef fish available, displaying alternating orange and blue-white horizontal stripes from snout to tail. It is a secretive cave dweller that stays small and is completely reef-safe, spending most of its time sheltering within rockwork overhangs. High demand and limited wild collection keep this species expensive but rewarding.

Provide plenty of rockwork caves and overhangs. Feed meaty foods such as mysis, copepods, and small chopped seafood daily. Keep water quality pristine. Generally compatible with other peaceful reef inhabitants of similar or larger size.
