Caridina cantonensis
Origin: Captive-bred (Taiwan/Germany)
The Pinto Black Fishbone displays a striking high-contrast pattern of white fishbone markings over a deep black body, a defining characteristic of the Pinto Caridina line. This morph results from extensive selective breeding programs developed in Taiwan and Germany. It demands soft, acidic water and a mature, stable aquarium environment to display its best coloration and breed successfully.
Use RO water remineralised to a TDS of 80–120 ppm with a Caridina-specific mineraliser. Maintain pH 5.8–6.8, temperature 20–24°C, and near-zero GH/KH. A mature tank with established biofilm is ideal. Feed high-quality shrimp pellets and blanched vegetables sparingly.
