Caridina glaubrechti
Origin: Southeast Asia
Caridina glaubrechti is a less commonly encountered Caridina species from Southeast Asia, known for its attractive banded patterning and moderate care requirements relative to Taiwan Bee variants. It appreciates soft, slightly acidic water with reliable filtration, and thrives in a mature, stable aquarium. A rewarding species for intermediate shrimp keepers looking to explore beyond standard hobby morphs.
Maintain pH 6.0–7.0, temperature 22–26°C, GH 3–8, KH 0–3. Use soft, slightly acidic water and provide a mature aquarium with established biofilm. Plant heavily with moss and other fine-leaved plants. Feed quality shrimp foods: algae-based wafers, biofilm supplements, and blanched vegetables. Avoid copper treatments.
