Caridina logemanni
Origin: Southeast Asia
Caridina logemanni is a recently described dwarf shrimp species from Southeast Asia, featuring delicate patterning and interesting active behaviour in planted aquariums. It prefers soft, slightly acidic water similar to other Caridina and thrives in heavily planted nano tank environments with established biofilm. Occasionally encountered in the specialty shrimp trade, it is a rewarding find for collectors.
Maintain pH 6.0–7.0, temperature 22–26°C, GH 3–8, KH 0–3. Use a mature, planted nano tank with abundant moss and leaf litter for natural foraging surfaces. Feed sparingly with quality shrimp pellets and natural supplements. Avoid sudden parameter swings and all copper-based products.
