Origin: Southwest India (Kerala)
Carinotetraodon travancoricus, the Dwarf Puffer or Pea Puffer, is the world's smallest pufferfish at only 2 cm. Fully freshwater. Charming, intelligent and endlessly entertaining. Eats pest snails, frozen bloodworm and Artemia. Aggressive for its size — best in species tank.
Species tank 30 L+. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5. Feed snails, frozen bloodworm, Daphnia. One male with 2–3 females. Males aggressive to each other — ratio important. Planted tank reduces aggression.
