Caulastrea echinulata
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Caulastrea echinulata in its neon green form displays extraordinarily vivid fluorescent green polyps under blue reef lighting — one of the most eye-catching LPS corals for the price. It forms dense clusters of trumpet-shaped polyps and shares the peaceful, beginner-friendly nature of all Caulastrea species. The neon green form is highly prized for its luminous display and is a crowd-favourite in Belgian and Dutch reef stores.
Low to medium PAR (50–200). Gentle to moderate flow. Alk 8–10 dKH, Ca 400–450 ppm, temp 24–27°C. Tolerates moderate nutrients. Weekly target feeding enhances colour and growth. Peaceful — safe near other LPS corals. Aquacultured specimens typically more robust and vividly coloured than wild imports. Frag by sawing between polyp clusters.
