About
Telmatherina ladigesi is endemic to the Maros River system in southern Sulawesi, Indonesia, where it inhabits clear, alkaline, hard water typical of Sulawesi's karst limestone geology. Males develop spectacular elongated fin extensions and vivid yellow-blue finnage. Requires stable, alkaline water and does not tolerate poor water quality or acidic conditions.

Water: 24–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, hard to very hard water (GH 10–20); stable. Tank: 60 L+, planted aquarium with gentle to moderate water movement. Feeding: Omnivore; fine flakes, micro-pellets, and small frozen/live foods. Behaviour: Peaceful, elegant schooling fish; males display flowing fins constantly. Compatibility: Best with other Sulawesi species or very peaceful nano fish.
