Aphyosemion celiae

Aphyosemion celiae is a softwater Aphyosemion from the forested lowlands of Cameroon. Males display a subtle but beautiful combination of blue-green body colouration and fine red spotting on the flanks and fins. Like many Aphyosemion, it thrives in a stable, gently filtered species tank with soft, acidic water and an abundance of fine-leaved plants for shelter and egg deposition.
Water: 20–24 °C, pH 6.0–7.0, very soft and acidic water. Tank: 30 L species tank; Java moss and fine-leaved plants for spawning; secure lid. Feeding: Live or frozen Daphnia, Artemia, and micro worms; fine-grained pellets. Behaviour: Males mildly competitive; keep one male with two or three females. Compatibility: Species tank; very peaceful small fish like Aspidoras possible at keeper's risk.
