Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis
Origin: Western Pacific (Japan, China)
Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis displays distinctive horizontal blue stripes on a yellow body in juveniles that transforms to a beautiful adult pattern. A moderately challenging angel that accepts prepared foods more readily than many species.
pH 8.1–8.3, SG 1.025, temp 24–27°C. Provide plenty of rockwork for hiding. Feed Nori, angel formula foods, frozen Mysis. Not reef-safe — will nip at corals.
