Puntius titteya (Cherry Barb) is a peaceful, deeply coloured barb from Sri Lanka. Males display brilliant cherry-red colouration and are safe with dwarf shrimp and other small fish. An excellent planted tank species.

pH 6.0–7.5, temp 22–26°C. One of the most peaceful barb species — safe with shrimp. Dense planting enhances colour. Feed micro-pellets, Daphnia, Cyclops.
