Centropyge argi
Origin: Caribbean
One of the smallest dwarf angelfish available in the hobby, the Cherub Angel (Centropyge argi) displays a vibrant deep blue body contrasted by a striking orange-yellow face and ring around the eye. It is relatively hardy and adapts well to reef aquariums, though it may occasionally nip at soft corals and clam mantles. An excellent choice for smaller marine systems where larger angels would be unsuitable.
Provide ample live rock for foraging and hiding. Feed a varied diet including algae-based foods, mysis, and marine pellets daily. May be housed singly or as a mated pair in larger tanks. Can be aggressive toward other dwarf angels; introduce last if adding multiple angelfish. Monitor for coral nipping in reef systems.
