Labidochromis chisumulae

Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa
Labidochromis chisumulae is a localised endemic from Chisumulu Island in Lake Malawi, less commonly available than L. caeruleus but highly prized by collectors. It displays a clean white to pale blue body with crisp black edging on the dorsal and pelvic fins, giving it an elegant, understated appearance. It has a relatively mild temperament for a mbuna.
Water: 24-28°C, pH 7.5-8.5, hard alkaline. Tank: 150L minimum with rocky aquascape. Feeding: Omnivore; invertebrate-heavy diet, frozen mysis, quality cichlid pellets. Behaviour: Mild-tempered for a mbuna; some territorial behaviour during spawning. Compatibility: Compatible with Electric Yellow and other mild mbuna; can work in hap/peacock tanks.
