The Chocolate Shrimp is a warm brown to deep chocolate Neocaridina davidi color morph that offers an earthy, natural aesthetic in planted aquariums. Like all Neocaridina davidi, it is robust, undemanding, and well-suited to beginners. It grazes actively on biofilm and algae, contributing to tank cleanliness throughout the day.
Maintain pH 6.8–7.5, temperature 18–26°C, GH 6–14, KH 2–8. No special water softening required — standard tap water or lightly conditioned water is ideal. Feed with quality shrimp foods 2–3 times per week. Provide a heavily planted tank with moss for grazing. Can be kept with other Neocaridina variants as long as colours are distinct if you want to maintain pure lineage.
