About

Hyphessobrycon columbianus, the Colombian Blue or Red-Blue Colombian Tetra, is from the Acanti River in Colombia. It is one of the largest and most strikingly coloured Hyphessobrycon species, with a vivid contrast between its electric blue upper body and bold red lower flanks and fins. Active and somewhat boisterous, it is best kept in large schools in well-planted aquariums.
