The Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus) is one of Africa's most beautiful tetras, displaying shimmering gold, blue, and violet hues. Males develop spectacular extended central tail rays. Native to the Congo River Basin in the DRC, they thrive in large schools. Pack of 8 fish.
Best kept in schools of 8+ in a spacious tank of at least 120 L. Provide dark substrate, dim lighting, and plenty of open swimming space. Feed varied diet including quality flake, micro pellets, and frozen daphnia. Keep with peaceful tankmates. Prefers slightly soft, acidic water.
