Copadichromis borleyi
Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa (Kadango locality, southern end of the lake)
Copadichromis borleyi 'Kadango Red' is a spectacular open-water cichlid from Kadango near the southern end of Lake Malawi. Males develop a vivid red-orange body with a striking ice-blue head — one of the most dramatic colour combinations in the Malawi hobby. This large plankton-feeding hap is peaceful and fast-swimming, requiring a long aquarium with ample open space.
Provide a long aquarium (minimum 120cm) with open swimming space and a Malawi-style rock backdrop. Maintain hard, alkaline water. Feed quality cichlid pellets with plant-matter content — primarily herbivorous diet in nature. Keep 1 male with multiple females to reduce male aggression. Peaceful toward most other Malawi haps.
