Copadichromis borleyi
Origin: Lake Malawi
Copadichromis borleyi 'Kadango Red Fin' develops a striking powder blue body with vivid red-orange fins in dominant males. It is a pelagic, open-water feeder that forms large schools over sandy substrate in the wild. In the aquarium it is one of the most peaceful Malawi haplochromines and an excellent choice for mixed Malawi community tanks. Females and subordinate males are silver-brown with orange fins.
pH 7.8–8.5. 300+ L, open swimming space. Harem of 1M + 3–5F. Feed: cichlid pellets, zooplankton mixes. One of the more peaceful Malawi haps.
