About

Corydoras incolicana is a subtle, soft-patterned species from the upper Rio Negro region of Brazil characterised by a slightly elongated snout compared to many congeners. It inhabits soft, acidic, tannin-stained waters. While not commonly available in the trade, it is a peaceful and rewarding species for the dedicated keeper.

Care Guide

Water: 22–26°C, pH 5.5–7.0, very soft; blackwater conditions preferred. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, dim lighting, driftwood and leaf litter. Feeding: Sinking wafers, micro pellets, frozen daphnia, cyclops, and bloodworm. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; groups of 6+ recommended. Compatibility: Best with soft-water species from the Rio Negro drainage.
