About
Female crowntails display the characteristic extended ray tips of the crowntail strain in a more understated form, and their colouration is often surprising in its vibrancy. They are reliable members of sorority tanks when properly introduced and maintained with sufficient hiding spots and space.
Care Guide
Water: 26-30°C, pH 6.0-7.5, soft to medium hardness — stable parameters prevent stress. Tank: minimum 20L; sorority tanks require 80L+ with dense vegetation and visual barriers. Feeding: betta pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphnia; two small daily feedings. Behaviour: may chase tank mates initially — provide ample hiding spots. Compatibility: peaceful community fish; can be housed in groups of 5+ females.
