Danionella translucida

Origin: Myanmar
Danionella translucida is among the most optically transparent vertebrates known to science. In the aquarium, its internal organs, heartbeat, and developing eggs are visible to the naked eye. It is a gentle, completely peaceful species that does best in groups in a well-planted, quiet nano tank away from boisterous fish.
Water: 20–26 °C, pH 6.5–7.5, soft to moderate (GH 3–10). Tank: 15 L minimum; gentle filtration, fine planting, no strong flow. Feeding: Rotifers, baby brine shrimp nauplii, infusoria, micro pellets. Behaviour: Very peaceful and delicate; keep 8+ for natural schooling; no fin nippers. Compatibility: Nano shrimp, other Danionella, very small peaceful nano fish only.
