Pseudosphromenus dayi

Origin: Southern India
Pseudosphromenus dayi is found in slow backwaters and coastal streams of southern India. Males display slightly more vibrant colouration than P. cupanus, with reddish-orange tones on their fins. An excellent and underappreciated species for the biotope or planted community aquarium.
Water: 22–27°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderately hard. Tank: 60L minimum, planted with fine-leaved plants and floating cover. Feeding: Omnivore — micro-pellets, flake, live/frozen daphnia and bloodworm. Behaviour: Peaceful; mild male-to-male display only. Compatibility: Compatible with small-medium peaceful community fish.
