Corydoras delphax
Origin: Colombia (Meta River drainage)
Corydoras delphax is a mid-sized cory from the Meta River drainage in Colombia, identified by its robust build and distinctive dark dorsal blotch contrasting against a pale, lightly spotted body. An adaptable and active bottom-dweller that thrives in community aquariums with other peaceful species. Fine sandy substrate and regular partial water changes keep this species healthy and active.
Provide fine sand substrate. Keep in groups of 6+. Feed sinking wafers, frozen bloodworms, daphnia, and varied meaty foods. Hardy and adaptable to a range of water conditions. Sensitive to high nitrates and poor filtration. An underappreciated and handsome cory that deserves more attention in the hobby.
