Origin: South America (Colombia — llanos rivers)
Corydoras loxozonus is native to Colombian rivers draining the eastern llanos and is immediately identifiable by its unique diagonal body stripe, a pattern seen in very few other corydoras. It appreciates stable water conditions and the company of its own kind. Its rarity in the trade makes it a desirable species for dedicated corydoras enthusiasts.

Behaviour: Peaceful schooler; keep in groups of 6+; active during daylight. Compatibility: Good community fish with peaceful mid-water and surface species.
