About
Doitsu Sanke combines the tri-colour red (hi), white (shiro), and black (sumi) Sanke pattern with the Doitsu scaleless body type, creating a bold and graphic look with very clean colour boundaries. A sophisticated variety for experienced pond collectors who appreciate the combination of classic Taisho Sanshoku patterning with the Doitsu scale mutation.
Care Guide
Requires a well-filtered pond of 1,000L+. Maintain excellent water quality. Feed quality koi pellets; reduce below 10°C and stop below 6°C. Provide 1m+ depth for overwintering. The Doitsu body form can show skin colour transitions more vividly — water clarity essential for appreciation. Best displayed in formal koi ponds.
