Cambarellus sp.
Origin: Captive-bred
Dwarf Blue Crayfish (Cambarellus sp. 'Blue') are compact, strikingly blue nano crayfish ideal for smaller freshwater aquaria. Their vivid blue carapace makes them one of the most visually appealing dwarf crayfish available, and their moderate temperament allows coexistence with fast-moving fish too large to be caught. Active scavengers that contribute to substrate cleanliness.
Provide caves, tubes, and hiding spots as crayfish are territorial and need personal space. Pair with fast-moving fish (tetras, danios, rasboras) rather than slow-moving or bottom-dwelling species that may be bothered. Feed with sinking pellets, blanched vegetables, and occasional protein-based foods. Not suitable with shrimp — will prey on them. Ensure secure lid as crayfish will climb and escape.
