Corydoras nanus
Origin: Suriname
Corydoras nanus is a small and lively species from Suriname, displaying a pale body with a series of dark irregular spots and a faint lateral band running from snout to caudal fin. Its modest size and peaceful nature make it an excellent candidate for nano aquariums or heavily planted community tanks. Best kept in groups of at least six over fine sand.
Provide fine sand substrate. Keep in groups of 6+. Feed sinking micro-wafers, daphnia, micro-bloodworms. Soft, slightly acidic water preferred. Sensitive to high nitrates. One of the smaller corydoras species — suitable for nano setups that are too small for standard-sized cories. A charming and active little fish.
