About

Danio nigrofasciatus, the Dwarf Spotted Danio, is a small and lively species from Myanmar with distinctive rows of spots along its body. One of the smaller danio species, making it suitable for nano aquariums where the zebra danio would be too large. A peaceful schooler that does best in groups of at least six.

Care Guide

Keep in groups of 6+. Provide open swimming space with planted margins. Feed micro-pellets, flake, and small frozen foods. Hardy and adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Very active — needs adequate swimming space. Suitable for unheated or cool tanks (20–26°C). An excellent, underappreciated nano fish.
