Corydoras eldoradensis is a small and elusive species from the Rio Caura drainage in Venezuela, exhibiting a subtle golden shimmer and delicate spotting. It inhabits clear to slightly blackwater streams with sandy substrates. Its rarity in the hobby makes it a prized acquisition for dedicated Corydoras enthusiasts.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.0, soft to medium hardness; prefers clean, well-oxygenated water. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, moderate flow, scattered plants and driftwood. Feeding: Small sinking wafers, micro pellets, frozen daphnia, cyclops, and bloodworm. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; groups of 6+ recommended. Compatibility: Best with small, peaceful South American species.
