About
Elacatinus oceanops, the Neon Goby, is one of the most useful fish in a reef aquarium. The vivid electric-blue lateral stripe makes it unmistakeable. Acts as a cleaner fish, removing parasites from larger fish. Captive-bred specimens readily available.
Care Guide
Small aquarium from 40 L. Provide a sponge or hard coral perch. Temperature 24–27°C, SG 1.024–1.026. Feed small pellets, Mysis. Pairs readily and spawns in caves. Excellent cleaner fish.
