Andinoacara pulcher
Also known as: Electric Blue Acara, EBA
Origin: South America
The Electric Blue Acara is a captive-bred colour form of Andinoacara pulcher with strikingly enhanced blue pigmentation achieved through selective breeding. It retains the hardy, adaptable nature of the standard Blue Acara while offering a display that rivals even the most exotic fish. Highly recommended for planted community setups.
Water: 20-26°C, pH 6.5-8.0, adapts to most water conditions. Tank: Minimum 150L, planted aquarium with open swimming space, smooth substrate. Feeding: Quality cichlid pellets, frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp. Behaviour: Semi-aggressive during spawning; otherwise peaceful and tolerant. Compatibility: Excellent with medium tetras, corydoras, plecos, and other peaceful fish.
