Electric Blue Crayfish

This is an enhanced selectively bred variant of Procambarus alleni displaying an extraordinarily saturated electric blue colouration across its entire body and claws. It is one of the most visually striking freshwater invertebrates available and commands attention as the star of any large aquarium. Care is identical to the standard Blue Crayfish.

Water: 18–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0; moderate hardness; excellent filtration and oxygenation recommended. Tank: Minimum 100L with multiple caves and hiding spots; lid essential as it climbs and escapes. Feeding: High-quality sinking pellets, blanched vegetables, frozen protein; colour-enhancing foods beneficial. Behaviour: Bold, territorial, and active; will attempt to catch any tankmate within reach. Compatibility: Keep alone or with fast-moving mid-water fish; not safe with shrimp or bottom-dwelling fish.
