About
Pomacanthus imperator — the emperor angelfish — is widely considered the most beautiful large marine fish. Adults display stunning horizontal yellow and blue stripes with a vivid blue-black mask and yellow tail. Juveniles are completely different — dark blue with concentric white circles. This fish requires a very large aquarium (600+ L) and exclusively eats sponge and other benthic organisms, requiring a specialised diet to maintain long-term. An expert-level, FOWLR species.
