Poecilia wingei
Origin: Venezuela (captive-bred line — originally documented by Wolfgang Staeck)
The 'Staeck' Endler's Livebearer is named after renowned aquarist Wolfgang Staeck, who was among the first to document and bring this population to the hobby. Males display a distinctive orange and black pattern with a characteristic blue-green sheen on the flank. This documented N-class strain is highly valued by purist collectors preserving authentic Endler's genetics.
Maintain separate from guppies and non-N-class Endler's strains to preserve genetic integrity. Keep in a planted nano aquarium with 2–3 females per male. Feed micro-pellets, daphnia, artemia. Easy and prolific breeders. A historically important strain — source from specialist Endler's breeders who maintain documented lineage records.
