Ecsenius midas

Ecsenius midas (Midas Blenny) is a remarkable species that mimics the schooling behaviour of Pseudanthias squamipinnis, the scalefin anthias. Golden-yellow coloration fades to blue-grey in certain colour phases.
pH 8.1–8.3, SG 1.025, temp 24–27°C. Perches on rock surfaces. Feeds on algae and small plankton. Hardy and adaptable. Reef-safe; may occasionally nip at clam mantles.
