Aspidoras pauciradiatus
Also known as: False Corydoras, Six-ray Cory
Origin: South America
Aspidoras pauciradiatus is one of the smallest armoured catfish available, closely resembling a miniature Corydoras but belonging to the related genus Aspidoras distinguished by skeletal differences. It is native to central Brazil and thrives in soft, slightly acidic water. Its tiny size and peaceful nature make it ideal for nano and planted aquariums.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to medium hardness; prefers clean, well-filtered water. Tank: 40L+, fine sand substrate, plants and gentle flow; avoid strong currents. Feeding: Micro sinking foods, frozen daphnia, cyclops, baby brine shrimp, and micro pellets. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6–8+. Compatibility: Nano community fish; keep only with very small, peaceful species.
