About
The Fantail is regarded as the foundation for most fancy goldfish varieties and is one of the easiest fancy goldfish to keep. Its egg-shaped body and divided double tail give it a graceful appearance without the extreme body modifications of other breeds. It is tolerant of a wide range of conditions and compatible with many other goldfish.
Care Guide
Water: 10–22°C, pH 6.5–7.5, well-filtered coldwater tank or outdoor pond. Tank: minimum 120 L, good filtration to handle the waste load. Feeding: sinking pellets, peas, spinach, and occasional live or frozen treats. Behaviour: active and curious; a great starter fancy goldfish for new hobbyists. Compatibility: compatible with other fancy goldfish and most coldwater species.
