About
Pomacanthus paru — the French angelfish — juveniles are jet black with five vivid yellow vertical bars, creating a dramatic and eye-catching display. As they mature the bars fade into a more subdued adult pattern. This Caribbean species is slightly more adaptable to captive diets than some large angels. Juveniles act as cleaner fish in the wild, which can make them less aggressive initially. Requires a large, dedicated FOWLR system.
