About
Microdevario gatesi is a rare and elegant nano fish from Myanmar, closely related to M. nana but differing in its orange-yellow body coloration and the pattern of the lateral stripe. It inhabits clear, shallow forest streams with gentle current and cool, well-oxygenated water. An excellent choice for a species nano aquarium and pairs well with small invertebrates like Neocaridina shrimp.
Care Guide
Keep in groups of 10+. Provide a nano planted aquarium with gentle flow and good oxygenation. Feed micro-pellets, daphnia nauplii, artemia nauplii. Cooler water (18–25°C) preferred — do not house with warm-water tropical species. Completely safe with dwarf shrimp. Source from specialist nano fish breeders.
