Genicanthus semifasciatus

Genicanthus semifasciatus (Japanese Swallow Angel) is a rare and beautiful large angelfish from Japanese waters. Unlike most angels, Genicanthus species are planktivorous and considered fully reef-safe. Males display spectacular trailing fins.
pH 8.1–8.3, SG 1.025, temp 22–26°C (cooler water preferred). Requires very large tank with strong flow. Feed Mysis, copepods, fine pellets. Rare and expensive — expert care recommended.
