About
Geophagus altifrons from the Rio Tapajos shows brilliant blue-green iridescent scales and elongated fin filaments. A substrate-sifting eartheater that requires fine sand for natural feeding behavior.
Care Guide
pH 6.0–7.5, temp 26–30°C, fine sand substrate at least 10cm deep. Peaceful with similarly sized fish. Feed sinking pellets, frozen bloodworm, and earthworms.
