Pseudomugil gertrudae
Origin: Australia / New Guinea
Pseudomugil gertrudae — the spotted blue-eye — is a tiny (3 cm) rainbowfish with spectacular colouration: warm orange-yellow body with rows of sparkling blue-white spots, vivid blue eyes, and brilliant orange-yellow fins in males. It is one of the most beautiful nano fish available. In groups of 10+ in a densely planted aquarium the display is exceptional. Requires very gentle flow and micro-foods. Compatible with shrimp and other peaceful nano species.
pH 6.5–8.0. Very gentle flow. 30+ L. Groups of 10+. Micro foods — artemia nauplii, micro pellets, moina. Compatible with Neocaridina shrimp.
