Scriptaphyosemion geryi

Scriptaphyosemion geryi is a non-annual killifish from the forest streams and pools of Guinea-Bissau and Guinea. Males display an exceptionally deep blue body adorned with vivid red-orange fin patterning, placing it among the most beautiful of all West African killifish. It is rarely available in trade and requires soft, acidic conditions and a quiet, dedicated species setup to thrive.
Water: 20–24 °C, pH 6.0–7.0, very soft and acidic water. Tank: 30 L quiet species tank; leaf litter, Java moss, and peat filtration. Feeding: Live micro-invertebrates strongly preferred; micro worms, Artemia nauplii. Behaviour: Shy; males competitive but rarely cause serious injury; keep trio. Compatibility: Species tank only; too shy and delicate for community setups.
