About
Ghost Koi are a hybrid between wild carp and metallic Ogon koi, resulting in fast-growing fish with a haunting metallic sheen over dark, scale-patterned bodies. They are exceptionally hardy, disease-resistant, and popular with beginner pond keepers across Northern Europe. Medium-grade fish show the characteristic ghostly metallic face and dark lateral body well, making a striking pond display even at this intermediate size.
Care Guide
Keep in well-filtered ponds of at least 1,000 L. Fully cold-hardy; tolerates temperatures from 4°C in winter to 26°C in summer. Feed quality koi pellets seasonally; withhold food when water temperature drops below 5°C. Provide sufficient depth (minimum 80 cm) to allow safe overwintering. Compatible with other koi, orfe, and pond fish.
