About
Scriptaphyosemion cauveti, the Gold Lyretail, is a dazzling West African killifish from Guinea. Males display a gold-to-copper body densely spotted with red and blue iridescent dots, crowned with a spectacular lyretail extension. Its vivid colours rival tropical marine fish. A non-annual plant-spawner easy to manage in comparison to annual killies. Suitable for nano species tanks or heavily planted community setups with small, gentle companions.

Soft, acidic water (pH 6.0–7.0). Temperature 18–22 °C (prefers cool). Fine-leaved plants or spawning mops. Feed daphnia, baby brine shrimp, small frozen foods. Secure lid essential. 30+ L.
