Golden Rudd Medium

Medium-grade Golden Rudd display their full golden colouration with bold red fins, making an excellent companion to koi or orfe in mixed pond setups. They are active surface and mid-water feeders that add colour and movement at different water levels from the larger koi below. Golden Rudd are a captive-bred colour form of the European native Scardinius erythrophthalmus, retaining all the cold-hardiness and adaptability of the original species.

Keep in groups in a pond of at least 1,000 L with good filtration and seasonal feeding. Fully cold-tolerant through Belgian winters. Feed quality floating and sinking pond pellets and take naturally occurring insects and aquatic invertebrates. Compatible with koi, orfe, and other pond species. Very easy to keep with minimal specialist requirements.
